Today I bought the Revell Wiesel 2 Ozelot kit. I immediately compared its parts to those from the AFV Club Wiesel kit. And sadly it is quite obvious that AFV Club tooling quality is superior to the Revell one. It doesn't mean that Revell kit is bad, but parts in the AFV Club kit are more refined and crisply tooled.

And it would be perfectly fine, if not for one fact: The Revell kit was tooled in 2010, while the AFV Club one in 1996... So 15 years ago AFV Club was capable of making better toolings than Revell today. And the AFV Club kit includes PE parts. And it is cheaper than the Revell one...

As you say it, it is sad to see this. But as you already know, Asian companies can invest much more into research, tools and so on than European ones mainly due to labor costs and regulations.
Hopefully, Heller will do better than Revell with their coming VBCI

due to labor costs

Oh, but Revell do take advantage of a cheap labor! They make their kits in Poland
