SO An what about these pictures showin an M2A2 ODS with interior ?

Does the guy scratch built the interior of the M2A2 ? I thought he had used the M3 interiror kit and placed it into the M2A2
What do you think about he did the interior of that M2A2??? IT seems to be the ODS kit it has the CIP pannels

To me it looks like the builder used the old m2 interoir kit and added the right parts to up grade it . I just happen to be in the middle of doing the same thing . I saw this pic 2 days ago , and will be using it for refference on my build . Since both kits are tamiya the interoir parts drop in without a problem . I guess you are in the starting stages of a bradley yourself ? If you need pics i have a few in a msn album titled Mrs. Toads pics . Good luck and if you need anything let me know .

I built straight from the box (no stores here with Edouard and Accourate stuff available) the first 2 Bradleys the US M2 Bradley IFV (interior) and the first (old kit) Bradley M3 that Tamya released.
Then I bought the U.S. M2A2 Bradley because Ithought there was an interior which was not true. But still in the box
Recently I ordered the M2A2 ODS because here I thought too there was an interior.
Is it correct to install the former M2 bradley interior inside the new ODS? What modifications had to be made then for the interior ? adding more seats ? or adding the bench system instead of the seats?
Thanks for help
Ps I am just new (1 year) in assembling modern . I used to build only WW2 for years but then I got bored and wanted soemthing new and recent that is still used today.

The only major interior differance in M2A2 and M2A2 ODS interior is the seat layout. Remove the individual seats and make new floor panels to cover up their mounting holes and add new bench seats such as those from a M113. The other improvements weer mostly in optics and other external changes such as a better box around the exhaust to reduce the heat signature.

I'm also foundering about looking for good info on M2A2, M2A2ODS interiors. I have a topic in here (about 5 days old regarding these same issues) and based on what has been said by those who would know (Sabot and others) it seems that there are M2A2s with BOTH types of seating out there!
Rob's Motorpool has the BEST and most pics I've seen for M2A2 interiors.
I am going ahead and building mine with the old style seats. It is NOT for an OIF piece, but rather a T2K diorama.
I am confused about changes made to the ammo stowage. The old Tamiya M2 kits has 25mm and 7.62mm ammo boxes along both sides of the hull, as well as the TOWs stowed along the left rear side. Not sure if that was changed with the various interior upgrades...
ALSO- any references regarding the visual differences between the interior with the Anti-Spall liners and the old one??
Thanks!

So it would not be false to do the Bradely ODS with seats and not bench for an OIF diorama? OR is every ODS in OIF equipped with bench?
Is the normal M2A2 '(not ODS) used too in OIF ,,or are they all now ODS Bradleys that you see in OIF?

The M2A2 ODS does include the new seating arrangement, bench seats. The standard M2A2 has the individual seats for the crew. Both models were used in OIF. Hovever, it would be incorrect to call it an M2A2 ODS with individual rear seating arrangement.

I thought I answered this already. I must be getting old and forgetful. There are two different "types" of ODS versions. One type is a true ODS that was built with all the modifications at the factory. The other is a regular A2 that has been modified with a series of MWOs to bring it up to ODS standards.Quoted Textit seems that there are M2A2s with BOTH types of seating out there!

As far as these MWOs go, they are not all applied at the same time or in the same order. Some may be applied by unit maintenance personnel, others have contractor teams that go to various posts to install, and others may be deferred until the vehicle is sent back to depot (like Red River or Anniston) for rebuild.
Therefore, an M2A2 may have ODS MWO #X, Y and Z applied and another have MWO #A, B, and C applied (or any mixture). Some of these may be external that are identifying features of an ODS Bradley, but the same Bradley may not have other visual identifying features.

Abbot & Costello...HAHAHAHA!! I love that analogy!
Andy yes, Sabot, I think you did answer that, but it was on another topic- same basic questions, but different "topic". Your memory is just fine!
Anyhow, my M2A2 is coming off the "line" with the as supplied individual seats! I haven't done all the MWOs yet!
Now...whilst we are on the topic of M2 interior mods...
Are there any M2 Bench Seat update kits out there? Eduard no longer has their kits available. What differences are there in the ammo stowage in the M2A2s, ODS or plain version. Also A3 Interior differences?? Are they significant??
And just WHO IS ON FIRST??
THANKS TO ALL!

Here (I hope) is an image of what I am 99% sure is an OIF M2A2 of some variant with the OLD individual seats.
This may help to clear some of the fog regarding M2A2 interiors.

Sorry to burts your bubble, but the soldiers in the photo are wearing MILES Gear. Most likely at NTC or other training range complex. Not OIF.

Miles gear you mean the devices attached on the helmets to tell the computers during exercises whether you were hit or not?
Wasn t that picture taken in Kuwait during exercise before the war started?

Only been to NTC 4-5 times in my life, but didn't the rotational unit always wear BDUs and the OPFOR wear the DCUs? I haven't been there since the mid 90s so they may have changed this.
I guess it could be one of those exercises out in the Udari range area before the war started.

Hey sabot, the last few times I went to the "box" in NTC they started issueing Desert BDU's, and if you look at the terrain in the pic, this is definitly death valley CA
