I am wondering who makes the most realistic trees and where i can purchase them.
Thanks

You can try a U.S. co. called scenic express and look up super trees. I have found the best trees are made from real tree roots, like oak trees. Look for places that are being bulldozed to make way for a shopping center, subdivison or road const. where they be lying on their side. Don't worry too much about the color as they can be painted once they dried out.

Greg is right! Scenic Express sells Super Sage which is pieces of sage bush (if you live in the west you can pick up tons for free), and Super Tree material, which, I believe, is also known as Seafoam. It is a dried plant with a very fine and delicate branch structure. This can be used by itself for very small trees and bushes, or by glueing to the sage pieces to form the branch structure of a larger tree. The whole can then be sprayed your favorite tree color, then use a spray adhesive and sprinkle on leaf material, also available from Scenic Express. Since you are using mostly organic materials the result is very realistic.

I typically scotch make trees so I don't have a tree manufacture preference.
I do want to add that I have seen an increase in diorama related products at ACMoore and Michaels craft stores. Things like woodland scenic products from ground works to foliage to building materials.

I agree, the Super Trees are very good. I used one in my Panther dio with their Leaf Flake Foliage and it turned out great. Here's some pics.

That tree definitely looks great. Does the kit come with thicker pieces as far as the trunk goes?

You might find a few with slightly thicker trunks but they are most definitely not made to represent trees like an oak or giant maple. For those the best bet would be to get a ready made tree. Thing is though most have a shiny trunk and foam flock for leaves. You could always strip it of flock repaint the whole thing and put your own leaves on. I'm going to try that soon. I'll post pics of the result.

Ready made trees are usually expensive, especially if you want a really big one in 1/35 scale. You may not even find one big enough as most of these trees are made for model railroaders. As stated above Scenic Express is your best bet. They have a 'value pack' for around $25 with enough sage brush branches (for the really big trees), and supertree material to fill out your tree with branch struture. Typically, you get 10 - 12 pieces of sage brush branches, meaning that many trees, from 6" - 10" in height. A large tree can be made in about an hour. Longer if you want to spray paint it for a uniform color on both the sage and supertree material before applying the leaf coverage. IMHO these are the best looking miniature trees short of using a bonzai!
