I'd like to know what versions of Tiger I tanks were used in DAK?
Academy's Tiger I (Ref 1387) Mid could be used as a DAK tank?

Hi
The African Tigers were initial and early production vehicles if I'm not mistaken. Also, the Tigers of Pz.Abt.501 in Africa had distinctive features as customized covers for the exhausts, modified back fenders and a couple of other stuff, which you won't find on this kit I'm afraid
I'm building an African Tiger I too at the moment so I'm curious for your build
cheers

No, that version entered production in August, 1943, well after the DAK had been defeated. The North Africa Tigers had the drum shaped cupola. The first nine or so had dual pistol ports on the turret rear instead of a pistol port on the left and escape hatch on the right. All had Feiffel air cleaner systems as well. The Tamiya "Initial" or "Early" Tiger kits can be used to depict DAK Tigers.
