Finally got around to building up my PzBeobWagen Panther D by Cyber-Hobby that I've had laying around in my garage - I've purposely built this model with as much "Smart Kit" portions as possible, leaving most of the photo-etch for my future Panther D builds in my spares box (I've had a couple of bad runs recently of completely mucking up models with over-washing and other over-weathering techniques, so I didn't want to invest too much time into build up until I got my groove back).
Here are resulting images:
Pretty nice kit, too bad it's not made anymore, comes with a lot of extra Panther D parts plus Shurzen, spotter periscope fully extended and in the carrying box as the spares... Do not miss the old photographic instructions (though they have great uses for mixing paints or as a drip pan when doing oil washes).
Straight up Dark Yellow Tamiya base over airbrushed Model Master primer (don't like it as much as Valejo's but all right in a pinch). Model Master Acryl for detailing with a brush, oil wash, Mig pigments and crushed pastel mix of acrylic resin/future/plaster of Paris for the mud.
