Howdy Flo, if you can get a copy of Issue 180 Oct, 2010 Tamiya Model Magazine International there is a walk around of a USMC M1114 with interior shots of the MCATS(Marine Corps Aarmored Turret System) equipped with MCTAGS.
Outta here, Mike sends . . .

I find this picture very interesting......

I have never seen that door configuration (as seen on the rear passenger side door) before.

And, looking at the front profile of the drivers side door, it looks like it has an applique armor package or perhaps some type of stand-off armor kit.

Does anyone know any specifics about the items I have mentioned?

I have no specs about it, but here's another picture of the same Humvee :

It's the Driver's Enhanced Thermal Viewer :

looks like the front door has a frag5 kit installed and a armor plate over it.
is this possible?

Frenchy,

Those actually appear to be different vehicles. The vehicle in the other picture you provided has three spotlights on the passenger side instead of two and it has a flag on the windshield where as the first vehicle does not.

Just noticed their BFT's are mounted on the front hood. That is an interesting variation also.

You may be right... But if you give a closer look at the first picture, you'll see that the mount for the missing spotlight appears to be there...The white sticker (?) above the windshield looks to be exactly the same too ....Maybe the same vehicle at two different times...

...wow i started this 8 months ago ...

hi folks, it's me
since i decided to continue this build i've got another problem:
i can't find any interior pics of the marine armor kit used by the humvees in the pics above. all i found were pics of the door's "outside" - got a few of them now
so maybe one of you can help me out with some interior pics of the doors?
thanks in advance

Although these pics don't show a MAK-fitted Humvee, I think that the doors inner side setup should be very similar...

if you compare it to this picture :
