Hi everyone, I'm looking for the markings of an armored car that was part of Guderian's second panzer group advancing in Odessa in autumn 1941. It was commanded by Fahnrich Hans, and was identified on the radio by the name "Sea Rose 4"
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Radio call signs are not recorded anywhere I am aware of, and they were changed frequently as a security measure. You really need more information than "second panzer group" and "armored car." What division? Was the armored car an SdKfz 221, 222, 231, 232, or 264? Was it a captured French Panhard armored car? Was it a halftrack? SdKfz 250 or 251?
Unless you have a snapshot of the Fahnrich and his vehicle, the likelihood of determining its actual markings are about nil, though you could dummy up some representative markings if you can answer at least some of the questions above.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't have time to check the topic or modelling.
Unfortunately, I only know that it was an Sdkfz. 222, and nothing else... It would have been nice if the book had provided more info.
Thanks anyways, Gerald, it was worth a shot....
