Hi,
I am desperately looking for a pre-formed base that is fairly simple and reflects a desert/middle east setting.
It needs to be big enough to comfortably house an SU-100 in 1/35 scale.
I have checked all the usual suspects but to no avail. Ideally it would be available from Australia, but I won't rule out some of the big international shops if the product is right.
Any help/suggestions are much appreciated.
Many thanks,
James

They have a few marked desert.
I don't know if they have a distributor in Australia though

James
May I ask why you want a prefab one? A desert scheme can be one of the easiest to scratch build, a little foam for dune base build up, a little wall putty, a little baking powder (or crushed clean kitty litter) and you're done. Then you're at the same finishing point where you would need paint?
I totally understand if it's a time or ease issue, I've been there and needed that.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your prompt responses and appologies for my belated reply.
Pat, that is a great line of bases, thanks for that I will definately be considering great north roads for this and future projects.
Jan, it does certainly meet the scenario but unfortunately is too small for an SU-100. Thanks though.
Scott, that is a fair point and 95% of the time I do make my own bases, however, I have been struggling to finish projects recently and so I thought that a pre-fab base would help me make the finishing post, I also wanted to find something that was simple but perhaps with a feature of some description to add to the scene I had in mind.
Num, While that base looks excellent I'm afraid that the building is not what i'm after. Do you have a website of your other bases?
Thanks again guys,
James

This might be of interest. The base is 7" x 9" but your cannnon barrel will be off the edge probably.
Here it is with our Tower kit to give more room for the long cannon barrel.

Thanks Mike, but i was looking for something more rural. In fact I was quite interested in your 'ancient road' but it didn't quite work.
To be honest it sounds like I don't really know what I want!

I understand James. No problem.
I agree the Ancient Road is a little too narrow for the Russian tank.
Good luck,
Mike
