Can anybody identify this tank?
I came across this picture while doing some research on a russian webiste. They have it labled as a BMP which Im pretty sure is not correct. I do know it's on a modified T-55 chasis and used in Afghanistan. It also looks like the structure was taken from some sort of JSU or possible ASU, there looks like a gun port of the front welded over.

Hi Christopher
We've already talked about it
here
We've posted some other pics
It could be a BMR1, but unfortunately there are few photos on the net

I'm just trying to dig up as much info on this tank as possible, but don't want to start multiple postings on something already talked about. I starting a series of russian-afghan project and looking for diferent ideas. I'm getting tired of seeing the usual M1 and hummers and tigers and decided to dive back into my favorite subject of modern russian armor, But now I have some sort of idea of what to call this tank. Thanks Mauro

R looks like P in Cyrillic. I think the mine roller is a KMT-2 or 3

Chris,
do a search on Missing Lynx Modern DG ,I posted a few things about the BMR in the past as I've started on one and a modeler named Zack Sex is working on one as well. By the way, how is your 62 with the bar armor and KMT-6 coming along?
Sean
P.S.
the most recent thread I was thinking of was in constructive comments

Thanks for the heads up
My 62 to coming along slow, I'm using it as a master to cast parts from it. I'm starting another 62 at this moment that I will be using the cast for and again will be along the same lines as my first one. I manage to find a website that has really good shot of the slat armor, so in the process I be doing some revisions.
