Hello,my name is sven and im 13. this is my first model.
It is tamiya 1/35 this model was started prevously in "do it in one day" phase,so i took it out yesterday while waiting for a isherman and primered it,finally i painted the camo its representing a hummer based in Brcko district-Bosnia in late 90s
i know its bad but its my first try i hope the isherman will look better, painted with vallejo, lifecolor and tamiya acrilics-its now in weathering process which i s***** up trying to achieve the look you guys do,thats why i registred here to learn so i hope the isherman will be much better cause this is looking really bad!

Cheers,sven

Welcome to Armorama Sven !

It rather looks like a nice start to me

Talking about the wrong flag, just click on "settings" then "modify profile", and there you can check out the selected country in the list.

Don't worry about the camoflauge, its not terribly bad. What we all have to worry about is being impatient in this hobby (we all want to get done fast). The only thing that I say is really 'not good' is that there should be more black and less brown. From what I've seen, the black is in big wavy lines, and the brown is in small wavy spots.

My first shot with an airbrush was identical.

That doesn't look half bad to me. I think you've done quite well for a first try with an airbrush. My own first try with an airbrush I just used one color. I would suggest doing that, even practising on that model if you aren't going to finish it. Get used to how the airbrush handles with a single color and then try some more adventurous stuff. Even painting on scrap paper is good practice. I still do that from time to time, especially with a brand of paint I might not have used before or one I haven't used in a while.

Remember to coat your model in matt varnish, Johnson's Klear/Future Floor Polish or Tamiya Flat Clear etc before you begin weathering. That way you can always strip off whatever you used to weather the model without damaging your paint job.

now i see my problem usually i clear it gloss before decals??

so i thougt i'd clear ot gloss and than weather it.

can anyone discribe the whole jon from the start: clears filters pigments washes, decal

primer-pre shade-basic color-highlights-1st camo-2nd camo-?-?-?-?-?....

btw,i ruined it
the thing on the windows is (was) vallejo's liqiud masking.

when i tried to take it of it did not want to come,so all4 doors are down, the front window and top. i better use tamiya masking tape next time. :S

Great work, Sven! I wish I could have done that well at age 13. Keep us posted on your builds.

compared to what I was doing at age 13 that's very good. Compared to what I was doing when I first found Armorama and the likes....before I knew about washes, weathering, etc

I've two important rules:
1) Try make each better than your last one, not better than someone else
2) Have fun and enjoy what your're doing: it's a hobby!

Welcome to Armorama!

If you need fresh glass for the windows PM me an address...I definitely have side windows in spares box...will check for front glass
