Ok if a tank has number 335 or any other what dose that identify the tank as?
Dose the first number mean one thing and the second and third mean another?

That depends on the nation. Often times it means the 3rd company, 3rd platoon's #5 tank. US markings are similar but we used an alpha numeric designation for company, i.e. it would be C Company (instead of 3rd company) 3rd platoon #5 tank, or C-35.
