Usually I'm not in favor of DML's 'one-of-a-kind' releases, but their new release of the Nuebau Fahrzueg looks very interesting and I'll probably get one. It may still be Axis but it is a departure from Pz lV, Panther, and Tiger variants. And the 'N. F.'s were used operationally, if only for propaganda purposes.

From the poster, it appears that the version selected by Dragon/Cyber Hobby for this first release is the final soft steel prototype. Presumably, the slightly different "operational" version (one the of the three armored prototypes sent into combat in Norway), will follow later.

On the contrary, DML's model is of one of the three (or five, depending on which source your using) Krupp models that were sent to Norway. The other two, made by Rheinmetall-Borsig, were in mild steel. When one of the Krupp Neubau Fahrzeugs was knocked out in action by British troops in Norway it was replaced with a Rheinmetall type. The Krupp models had the two turret mounted guns side-by-side in a welded plate construction turret, and the Rheinmetall types had the guns mounted over and under in a rounded turret.
