Ola Guys
Well have been away for a while. Private life didn't leave much room for online visits. So I had to make a choice. Well the dust settled. More or less living with the Girlfriend now and even have time to do some modelling. And this is what I'm working on now.
figure is from Jaguar. Base is all self made.
Still a lot to do. His hands, his visorcap (obviously) and his boots and of course the groundworks.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Greetz Robert

Looks interesting so far!

greetings...

The Faust is back!
Nice one, Robert!
Just one suggestion; maybe add something to the back, showing how Rommel got up there?
Some (ammo)boxes or a small ladder... Would make sence and help filling an empty space.

@ Soeren
Thanks for the kind words. Really appreciated. I like the fact that it is such a good rendition of Rommel in that small a scale. The sculptor did some extraordinary work.
As for the planking. I used some lefover wood for the beams and wooden stirring sticks that I "borrowed" from a trainstation cafetaria.
@ Ron
Yeah alive and kicking. To fill some space on the forums with my rubbish
I will put some stuff in the trench but it will only be there to liven things up a bit there. A row of sandbags on the edge and an MG42. And on the floor of the trench against the side wall some MG42 ammo cases. Rommel simply walked along the dune to get where he is now. I'm not a firm believer that every thing in a dio or vignette should have to be explained.

This is really terrific for a 1/35 figure. When I saw it on ML I thought it might be 1/16.

@ Pat
yeah it is some truly amazing sculpting. The likeness is so good and natural. I showed some pics of it I made with my cellphone to some guys the other day and they thought they were looking at a half a metre high figure.
