Hi folks!
Good to be back after months.
Here is a little piece (8x8cm) of jungle.

First, a mixture of Black and Brown (20% - 80%), mixed with heavy modelling paste, sand, roots and et caetera.
The undergrowth leaves are cigarette paper roughly painted in different brown shades. This rotten leaves are the first layer of the groundwork.
Above, we found Kamizukuri ferns. Don't use them "from the zipbag". They need acrylic gel to get volume. They are painted with 3 or 4 brown-greens. Everything with vallejo.

As you can see the center of the ground isn't done yet, it will be finished once the figure glued in place.

Very cool, thanks for the short tutorial. Good tip about Kamikazuri plants needing some gel to get more volume.

Just one nitpick: some of the plants are a bit too green for my taste, creating a high contrast with the brownish ground.

Yo Alexdandre,

Nice to have you back!

Nice piece of vegetation you showing here...the contrast is just great between the ground and the leaves...very nice groundwork. Witch modelling paste did you use?

Maybe some more bamboo pole's...fine ones?

Very nice so far.

Hi friends, thanks!

Mario, you're welcome! Indeed some leaves are very green, but I made it on purpose, for this high contrast it gives. I thought it was a way to give this "life" feeling, a place where everything that die is immediately replaced by greener thingies.

Nico! Always so nice to see you here! Yep you're right for the bamboo. Never get too much of it! I'm waiting to have the figure done to decide for better composition.
The modelling paste is from Pebeo.
BTW did you go to Ransart show?
Take care.

So some kit painting :

This is the Wave SAFS from Yokoyama Sensei Ma.K universe.
I found myself totally in love with this kind of modelling for the last year and I'm trying hard to get back on AFV models. Hope that something 1/35 in the stash will drive me back to panzer.

Anyway, here are some pictures :

The base coat is done with Vallejo.
All chipping is realized with a small bit of foam and a 000 "serie7" Windsor&Newton brush, best brush ever.

All the streaks, rain marks and fading with W&N oils.

Have a great day!

Alexandre.

Hi Alexander,

The ground work looks fantastic; I am curious as to what the scale is? I really liked the weathering particularly the rain streaks.
