I got a set set of these figures for Christmas. They have the optional vinyl torsos with body armor. I was just wondering the overall impression of these figures when built up. I'm not a big fan of vinyl figures. Are they worth using? Any suggested sources for replacing the torsos? Maybe a build review? I didn't see any in search or in the review section.

Thanks in advance.

If it is the kit I think you are talking about, the figures are shown to be running, if this is indeed the set I have it and found the figures rather small. Great detail, quite liked the vinyl torso had some good detail on them, I have not made all the figures but I have started a few. Overall they were not bad, but for me they just looked too small.

Anybody else find that?

I have made this kit up while i was teaching myself to paint ACU, standing next to my alpine figures wearing ACU they look really small, and next to a Humvee or Stryker they look even smaller, I did use them to create some seated guys for the inside of my m1131, other than that they are really well detailed and the vinyl vests were great for hooking small wire D-clips for hanging yiny zip ties and other equipment, i just really wish more figures came with vinyl vests .... enjoy them tho as they arnt making them anymore (so i have been told) so they will become harder to get hold off soon ay

Thanks all for the feedback.

I think I'll give them a try. I've been told of an update set to replace the torsos if need be so I have a backup plan. As far as the size, thanks for the heads-up on that. I haven't decided what I am going to put them with. I have an IED Humvee and a Stryker (RV) in the stash. Either way I'll take that into account. I've added height and length to figures before. It's a pain but I hate to waste a figure set, especially since it was a gift.

I got them out today and looked at them. They are pretty small can give them a bit of extra height and arm length. The detail does look good. I might use them with my Academy IED truck...they might look better with it. Their size reminds me of Trumpy's JGSDF figures that came with their Type-87.

Thanks again all for the input.
