Hi,

I am modelling a 1/1 scale AK 101 used by the Nato forces. Can the gun rust?

Anyone has pic of weathered/ rusty AK 101 ? (not sure if it will ever be rusty as I reckon this rifle is used by regular government troops not insurgents.

Cheers

I would say no. It's not a matter of "could it?" but "would it?"

It wouldn't happen as no NCO would ever permit it.

Cleaning, maintaining, lubricating, etc, rifles is essential to keeping them in functioning order.

I agree with George

Physically, of course, is possible. The guns are made of metal....But actually just an abbandoned rifle "could rust"...

Agree with the others. It's made of stainless steal and plastic, but anything metal would rust at some point.
