Good afternoon dear colleagues.
I live in Russia in St.-Petersburg. I am engaged in a hobby about 5 years. I do self-made models and deep conversion 1:35. Recently has begun conversion of model from SKIF 2S1 Gvozdika.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2S1
I hope it to you it will be interesting.
My work always begins with studying of drawings and photos.
I am sorry for bad English language.
Yours faithfully, Yan.
hen I draw 3-D model in scale 1:35.
If a detail from a set wrong I do her of plastic.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Your work looks interesting!
I also have one of the kits and thought about a correction-set.
offtopic:
Also I use my 3D-software for building virtual models, but these are not military.
My second interest is soviet/russian space.and I build some rockets, spaceprobes and satellites.
Plans were, to manufacture them using a machine.
greetings...
Soeren

Great progress on your build!
As I wrote, I also have one of these kits.
My plans were, to use this one with a conversion-set... perhaps into the "UR-77 Meteorit" or (if I could get easily one of the metal barrels) to make the original 2S1.
During my actual build (soviet venus landers), I try to make some scatch-made parts and "add-ons". (cables)
Perhaps I also can use this for later projects.
offtopic:
Ahh, you live in St. Petersburg: When you visit the "Telekom-museum" and you see the "Luch"-satellite... you will remember me. (I build a scale-model of this and others for possible manufacturing)
My plans are, to have some models of soviet spacecrafts and satellites.
Also I know another museum in your city, but itīs only for military persons or "as an invitation" of them.
greetings...

One big problem - firm SKIF.
In my work from a set about 10 % of the present details, other details self-made.

Ok give me a day or two to dig them out of storage, and will send them off. Sort me out for postage afterwards, once I know how much it cost to send.
further details should probably be by private message.
happy to help!

Your model looks great!
I like all the details and scratched parts.
"Kompas-3D" seems to be a good solution for CAD. Thanks for showing this!
I also build 3D-models using this type of software, but never made a real model or model-kit, which I planned. (see my avatar-image and callsign-name)
There are some "in-progress" or nearly completed for a reproducion in 1/48. (soviet satellites and space-probes)
greetings..
