First of all welcome to the site Hybrid. Secondly, just a comment on your idea, one of the most difficult aspects of dios are those with 'action' in them, might work ok in 1/72 but in 1/35 it tends to look a little cluttered or a little forced. Your suggestion would require a great deal of space to execute it properly. For me the secret of dios is to think simple...don't complicate your life..... All the best, Jim

Following up on Jimbrae's thoughts, a tracked vehicle is noisy. The yanks you're talking about aren't dumb, hey, they're still alive, proof positive. If your only armor is a thin steel brain bucket and you hear tracks comin' atcha, you are definitely gonna beat feet or at the very least get some serious cover. Leave the Americans out and you'll have a better dio, IMHO.

Great idea!
The noise deal: Put an American vehicle nearby. So that would be loud an noisy! Thus covering up the Kraut tanks noise.
Make sure to add rubble to the top of the tank, you know rubble from the wall it just got done smashing through!

Like in Kelly's Heros where they use the engine noise of the Tigers to have Oddball's Sherman sneak up? It might work, but you would still have to explain that one vehicle drowned out the other. I go with Jimbrae's post. Leave the Yanks out of it.
