I'm doing a Female Mark IV model where I bought Accurate Armour resin tracks, and I just painted the tracks Model Master Acryl Rust as a base coat. This is to be an active tank and will have "scraped" areas of metal later, but I wonder if I overdid the track rusting for the tank type? I was thinking of how the tanks of that era constantly slogged through mud and water during that war? Thanks.

A picture of your build would help with this kind of question, but long story short is that your tracks are going to be mostly covered in mud so it doesn't really matter one way or the other.
Oh yeah, still would like to see a photo

I have no digitial camera, and in fact I worked on the (aftermarket) tracks before I even got the tank model itself, which I've yet to start. I asked about the tracks to make sure I get them right before I install them; suffice it to say they are solid rust color at this point. The question was whether it was a mistake or not.

If the tank is active, the treads wouldn't rust.Too much movement. Some scraped paint would rust, provided the tank was in service long enough.

Tracks rust no matter what. Certain environments will scrub the tracks shiny. But believe me from personal experience, if you park your AFV for the night, the tracks are rusty in the morning. This builds up over time until the tracks have an overall rust patina and some crusty rust as well. Contact points stay rubbed to a graphite shine.
Take your MM Rust tracks. Give them a black wash and a raw umber wash. Then hit the contact points on the track face (The bulge over the hinge and the edges of the plate) with a wide graphite pencil.
You'll like the look. Then add mud if you want.

Which types of paints do you recommend for the washes? Also Model Master Acryl? Thanks.

Taking into account this is a WW1 tank it depends on how you intend to display it, as the tracks on a tank in action would be smouthered in mud.
