Hi all,
Can anyone give me a short review on this item: http://www.mbltd.info/3551.htm
And does anyone know another company that has French resistance figures?
Thanks,

Hello Vladimir,
The Matsterbox kit is nice. Not their best but still nice kit.
The surrending German officer is well proportionate.
The french resistant have relaxed poses, and arer thing, there is a woman.
I'm not particularly fond of Masterbox heads, you might want to replace them by hornet ones. Another solution would be to convert soldiers figures to make them civilians (there won't be that much of work).
I don't know any other plastic manufacturer who makes french resistant set, but MK35 is doing a bunch of resistants, civilian that could be used as resistant (just give them a gun ), and one russian company also make some in resin, I guess its evolution miniature, but they are very russian in their clothes/weapons. Esci Ertil made a set but it's more than 25 years ago, so I'm not sure it wil be easy to find.
Hope this help your quest
Best,
Julien

There was a review on this site if you put french resistance in the search box it will show about third on the list. Esci Ertil set is a mix of figures including a polish chap in uniform they are rather soft in detail and more 1/32 than 1/35 scale.
Good luck in your quest.

As mentioned, the only other Resistance figures in styrene I am aware of is the old Esci Partisans set, originally released around 1973. They were also boxed by Ertl, and the molds are now owned by Italeri, though I don't recall their being reissued recently. They are a bit thick, looking more like short 1/32nd scale people rather than 1/35th scale people, though a head swap could improve the appearance of some of them.

Thanks a lot every one for your help! I would like to ask two more questions please.
http://www.mbltd.info/3533.htm
Is this set of good quality? And can the British paratroopers be used as S.A.S troops (like those that trained French resistance fighters)?
Thanks again,

Hi again,
They are a fine set but if you are going to use them for S.A.S. they would look better with berets or bare heads rather then helmets. Also cut down on the back packs and equipment. Most of the time it would be just weapons and ammo pouches that would be carried.
