Not to sure of the scale, but the following is what I am searching for. Normally sold in sheets A-4 and a very fine metal mesh that the tank boys use for their grills, or engine covers, I actually use this for fencing, and now that I've run out, I want to buy some more, but, what's it called, where do I buy it from. The real BIG problem is knowing what its name is, I've tried putting in metal mesh, scale mesh and the like, all with no results.
Please can someone point me in the right direction.
Alec.

Alec in the UK you can get what you are looking for from hobbycraft in the card section of all places. As for its specific name I cannot help you there.

Thank you all very much for the advice, I didn't even think of Hobbycraft, I was only in there last week (Harlow) .
The funny thing is, you think you're not going to run out of anything, and you can always buy some more. Then its to late, I had that mesh sheet that was suppose to be for (I believe 1-35 tanks) two years, I'll have to double up this time.
Thanks again.

Real brass or steel mesh can sometimes be found in the model railroad section, but it's usually too coarse for scale applications. It's also hard to cut, and the strands can come loose from the edges.
Diamond pattern expanded metal screen is also available (I think it's actually manufactured as shielding for certain types of audio and data cables, but at least one company in the US, Scale Scenics, used to offer it as HO gauge "hurricane fencing"). They had it in both brass and aluminum. It was excellent as mesh on certain US 1/35th scale vehicles.
For double etched brass screen, which looks like overlapping strands of wire but is actually a single piece of brass, Aber sells a variety of sizes and patterns.

Thank you Gerald, another problem has arose, I've to hobbystore in Harlow, and sadly they don't do anything like what I want, I have found something on ebay, and the problem there of course, I won't know what its like until it arrives by post in a few days time. Also tried my local model shop in Broxbourne but again no luck, there are several fences by Tamiya but all large scale, the scale railway people is my next point of call.
Gerald - its a strange thing for me to write, but a couple of years ago I was building a 1-700 diorama, and couldn't think how I'd make the mountains, then someone suggested H.O railway, and the pre-cast rubber mould for making rocks, these also made perfect 1-700 mountains.
