beautiful photos, but I have a problem I can not determine the type and caliber of weapon.

I'll echo Jiri!

Here I expected when seeing the leader for a "Bofors" and "in British service" that I was about to open up a photo-review of the fabled 40mm OQF Mk I or Mk III anti-aircraft Bofors, or some close relative of same! Whatever this thing is (yes, a big gun on a 2-wheel carriage - even I can see that ), it is NOT any 40mm Bofors AA gun!

But it IS pretty cool, regardless! But WHAT exactly is it?

That's a British 3.7" Mk III AA gun. Basically their equivalent of the Flak 36 or the US 90mm.

Jon is spot on and I should have been clearer when I uploaded it; the other axle for the gun is not present. There is a better walk around of the 3.7inch HAA on the site with the gun in travel mode. This gun if used by the British in the same way as the German 88mm would have knocked spots off of the 88 as it would have made a hole on the way in and the way out the other side.
