Larry the cheapest way I know of to buy one is to get the Trumpeter 5 in 1 Abrams kit.

I am sorry Larry I do not know enough about the M60 to answer that, I suspect the answer is that the hull plate will not fit the M60.

Dragon had released a Track Width Mine Plow set, but I think it's OOP...
and anyway it seems that you would still have to modify the M1 mounting plate included in the box

I used the Dragon Mine PLow, from their M1A1 kit to put on a M1 Panther and it was a horrible experience... It lacked basic details, poor fitting and I still can't get it to look correct, the plows still point upward instead of the horizontal position, in the stowed position. I would avoid the DML one and see if anyone has a mine plow left over from another project.
As for mounting the plow on a M60 series vehicle, I know that some vehicles had mounts welded to the hull for rollers - perhaps the plow used the same lower hull mount... Perhaps Mike Mummey would have some insight to this...

Hi Larry,
Yes, this mine plow can be mounted on the M60 !!
You have to make some adjustments as can be seen in this link !
page 6 to 8.
I have done mine on a USMC M60a1 as shown on the picture !

It is my belief from reading forums that the Trumpeter version of the plow is the most accurate currently available.

The Trumpeter plow is a copy of the Tamiya one. IMO the Tamiya one is the 'best'. They all need extra details added.

Does anyone know if the Tamiya TWMP was, or is available as a separate kit?

I have not seen it sold as a stand alone kit, but the 5 in 1 Abrams offering from Trumpeter still costing only about £25.oo it gives you a lot of spares and another kit to play with.

Not as a separate kit, but Tamiya will sell individual spues. All you need is the kit # and sprue letter.
Check here: Tamiya USA
They usually sell for about $5 per sprue plus shipping.

Hi Guys;
IMHO I would look too the Panther kit that's based on the M1, as you get Both the TWMP and the Rollers, You can find the M1`Panther on e-bay real cheap. There is no Best kit of the TWMP !! they all need Extra details as do the Rollers. And yes the DML was the very first, and if you took your time with it and added the added details its just as good as the others. What ever vehicle that you use it on, make sure that you adjust the front suspension.
CHEERS; MIKE.

Thanks for the info, guys. I was thinking about the option of trying to get the Tamiya Sprue number and order one that way. Good idea!

Well I for one have bought quite a few Tamiya kits over the years....
and having read this blog...
I am going to try and call them to try and buy some specific sprues that my nephew sat on and destroyed..
they have a form on their web page that I filled out with the exact replacement part# and a kit # and sprue letter secondary backup reference....
but just now I saw "We cannot accept requests for part replacements or purchases via e-mail."......
(They 'could' have replyed with the info I had overlooked)
businesses should always remember,,,,that not everyone is a genius at web stuff....but they have a customer that is tring to reach out to them.....

Tamiya has a Direct Ph# that you can call and request the Items that you need, when you call the number you will get a Very Nice Lady. Just Tell Her that you need too Purchase replacement parts, she will then transfer you too another person who will Fill your order. You just need too have your CC and then give them your address ! Its Very Simple, and they are very Fast
CHEERS; MIKE.
PS; HAPPY VETERANS DAY !!!

If the OP goes ahead and gets the Trumpeter 5 in 1 kit, let me know cause I'll buy the rest of the kit off your hands, I don't need the mine plow.
Just throwing that option out there.
