It may be a bit too late, but I'm wondering what color would you drybrush a desert Hummer?
I have already added pastels for dust and a light wash. I think it looks ok, but read a lot about drybrushing bringing out good detail and showing wear.
Just not sure if it's wise on a desert painted vehicle....
thanks!

Wise to do the dry brushing before pastels etc. Too late now unless you want to waste your pastels...mind you, they are cheap enough and dry brushing does bring out the detail
I would suggest a raw umber wash first, then drybrush with your base colour + 20% white mixed into it.
This is an old picture of my M13/40. Should give you some ideas....

I agree with Martin. Next time, do the drybrushing before the pastels (and after the wash). 20% White may or may not be enough. Try it, and if you don't like the result, do it again with a bit more white mixed in. Partly, it'll depend on your taste, so you be the judge.
Good luck!
