I want to do a Diorama based on the Second Battle of Fallujah. Just unsure about what scene to do, I want a group of insurgents in a firefight with a group of Marines in an urban setting.

Want it to look like this:

Planning to use

Marines:

Insurgents:

Would the figures be correct?

The first and the last box of caeser miniatures would be correct. The middle one is the ACU style uniform and the IOTV versus DCU/BDU style uniform and IBA in the first box which would be correct for '04.

There are a few diorama's floating around in the "small scale" section with caeser figures if you want to get an idea of what they look like.

Are you planning any vehicles? Also, how do you plan on tackling the buildings/structures?

Take care,
Austin

I'm am still open to any suggestions if anyone has a certain part of fallujah or idea that they want me to model. Not planning to have any cars, humvess, tanks, etc but that will probably change.

You could always do something with the Marines taking the infamous green bridge in Fallujah (were the contractors were hanged). I've always thought that would be a very moving diorama.

Here's a little over 700 pictures from fallujah in the 2004 time frame on Life.com.

HTH,
Austin
