Hi guys,
Next month Revell will reissue a model of the M-55 Howitzer scale 1/32.
( the old Renwal kit )
I found some pictures of a USMC M-55 in desert-merdc colors.
Does this mean that they used this type of howitzer for such a long time that MERDC colors would have been used.
I mean MERDC was not used before the mid-seventies.

Hope someone can give me the right answer to this question.

Hi Frenchy,
Okay, maybe possible, but what about this link ( see picture 12 from the top )
A m-55 at the Tank Museum in Danville-Virginia.
It looks to me as a jungle-merdc color !!

Ge - The M55 went out of the system with active units in the mid or so 60s and stayed with the National guard until the early 70s. It might be possible a National guard unit may have had them long enough to do a MEDOC....but that would be pushing it.
OD is the way to go with the M55
Also waiting on the repop!!

The museum cammo is fictional. They have also installed the tracks backwards.

Hi guys,
Sorry for not answering right away !
I think I pass on this one, since it does not quite fit in with the rest of my collection ( modern US vehicles in camo )
Too bad for it would make a heck of a vehicle !!!!!
Thank anyway for the info !!

A bit off topic here but has anyone heard of the M109 kit being reissued or any other company taking a crack at it?
