Can any one tell me if the view ports in the front hatch covers on a M4A1 W Sherman are fixed ,or could they be turned from side to side?

There are four periscope in the front hull.
Two of these are fixed periscopes, and are near the centerline of the tank.
The periscopes in the hull hatches are rotatable.
