Hi All,
I recently finished a huge kitbash, using parts from just about every major model company. Here's the finished product:
Enjoy!

Yeah, you can't leave us hanging, , obviously that's some operation ID or something? Where and when? I know I've never seen that before, unless overlooked in some black-and-white footage.
Also, the non-photo blue vehicle numbers are really non-photo when they're covered in mud.
Excellent looking piece. Thanks for posting!
-Sean.

Hi Guys,
Sorry about that, I posted late last night and just wanted to get the pics up. Anyway, the vehicle is from the 6th U.S. Armored Divison at Camp Polk, Louisiana during the Spetember, 1942 manuvers. I was unable to get any shots of the vehicles from the 69th tank Bat, so this is where the unit is from (hance the "H" company). The red band designates this tank to the "red" army (I had a choice of red or blue and I liked the red better). The markings were inspired by some shots of M3A4's at Camp Polk in the AFVisual book on the M3. It also provided some of the reference pictures to build this beast. Here's a rundown of the parts used:
Lower Hull: MP models
Upper Hull: Legends M3 detail set
Differential: Legends M3 detail set
Bogies: DML
Roadwheels: Formations
Track skids: Academy
Drive sprocket and idler: Italeri
75 mm gun: Aluminum stock turned on my lathe
MG tripod: AFV Club
PE: Eduard
Headlights: Tamiya
Turret: Harper castings
37 mm gun: Barrel Depot
Venitlator covers: resin copies of Tamiya parts
Engine deck: scratchbuilt with DML front section and Accuarate Armour screen
Rivets: Tichy Trains
Engine deck bolts: punched from styrene sheet
Tools: Formations
Exhuast pipes: Moskit T-34
Tracks: AFV Club
It was a huge job, but I am proud of the results. I'm at work right now, so I'll post my reference shots later tonight. Thanks for the kind words.
Regards,
Georg

Wish my Lee wasn't an interior version. I would love to put as much work into the paint and weathering as you have. A very, or should I say "dirty", kit.

Guys,
Thanks for the kind words. It was a doosey of a model, but well worth the work. Dave, you'll see this one soon enough at Mosquitocon.

Georg

Bill,
That's the plan. I should have the AAVP-7A1 built by then. It might even have paint at that point! See you then.

Georg

Stefan,
Here's a link to some pics I took during construction over on Missing-Lynx . It was quite a hodge-podge of parts during construction.

Georg
