Hi fellas,
Were the rear lights on the M54 cargo truck always fitted underneath the cargo bed or were they ever fitted to those "wings" that are attached to the rear of the chassis? You know, like on the later M35A1's or A2's.
As usual, if there are any photos flying around they would be a great help!
Thanks a lot fellas.
Joe.

I have some shots on my gallery of several 5 ton GT replicas from the 2010 Gathering at: http://www.pbase.com/baywing/gun_truck_gathering
They all have the brake lights under the bed to the outside. I don't think they would have put them on the bumperettes as they would have had to replace them constantly.

Thanks Warren,
Great link! I have some of these guntrucks to build in the future. But the pictures answer several questions I have.
When I have a bit more of my cargo truck build completed I'll run a new build thread about it.
Thanks for your help, my friend.
Joe.

Hi Joe
Here's the link to some M54-related TMs that may help you as well (just in case you've missed it when I first mentionned this website ):

That's where I've found the winch drawings....

Joe,
You are welcome. I'd like to see your finished project. I have one GT kit but haven't had the time to even think about starting it.
I'm hoping to be able to get to the 2011 Gathering this coming Aug but it's better than double the distance from home as the one last year. Not sure which trucks will be there either, but it should be a good time.

Further to my previous question, as I'm almost at the point of getting the rear lights knocked up.
Am I correct in assuming that the electrical wiring for the lights comes out the back of the lights & then heads in under the cargo bed to the chassis & then runs along the inside of the chassis? How many electrical wires?
Any photos?
Thanks fellas.
Joe.
