Just to save a few pennies I was wondering if there is a generic alternative to Mig's pigment fixer?
Does anyone know the makeup of the liquid?
Is it available in a cheaper form i.e. is it just white spirit, meths etc?
Cheers,
Tom.

Here's my 2 cents' worth. Use Medicinal alcohol.
Check out this Youtube vid. I used this technique and it works great.

It is a alkyd matte varnish (5%) + white spirit.
In a new DVD from Vallejo Miguel used flat clear to fix pigments.
