I have just picked up a Tamiya Chieftain Mk5. I am comparing your photos to the mode for the visual differancesl. Do you have any photos looking down on the vehicle or any of the rear deck.

Paul I have added 7 pictures of the top of another Mk12 Chieftain, the pictures are not the greatest as it is in front of a huge window which makes things difficult.

Thanks for the extra photos will give me some more referance. to compare the model with the actual vehicle. Pity this Museum is so far away from me here. I will have to plan a holiday in that lovely park of the world some time.
Do you have to make arrangements with the museum to take photos of their vehicles.

Great pictures. I have a question that hopefully someone can answer. What is that 'material' that wraps the barrel? I am painting my Chieftain now (bronze green and maybe black). I have seen people paint it a tan type color, but not sure if that would be right. In your pics, it has a green hue to me.
