Hello All,
Just wondering if anybody knew of any aftermarket parts( interiors/tracks/ gun barrels) for M48 Patton tanks?

Thanks.
Sean.

What version of the M48 are you doing?

I know that Legend Productions makes both an M48A3 engine/engine compartment as well as an M48 Accessories set that includes sprocket, mantlet, searchlight, and various other fittings. (#1032 and 1033)

AFV Club makes a set of workable single link tracks AF3505 for the early M48/M60 (chevron) and AF3510 for an later M48A5/M60 (T-142).

Once upon a time, Verlinden Productions made an M60/M48 update set, but since the proper late M60 and M48 tanks are now in kit form, this set isn't required.

Barrel Depot makes a nice aluminum barrel with a yellow metal muzzle brake for the 90mm armed M48s (M48, M48A1/A2/A3) and is #35039. They also make a 105mm metal barrel for the Taiwan M48H and another for the 105mm armed M48A5.

Eduard makes a photoetch set for both the M48A3 and the M48A5. I think CMD makes some conversion and update sets for the M48 as well, like the back deck to do an M48A2.

Sabot,

The CMD item is their beautiful M48 backdate set. New early upper hull, new turret, and all the details to build a straight M48, or an M48A1, if you modify the Tamiya cupola.

Cheers

Hmmmm,
I'm pretty sure I'll be doing an M48A3...just have to double check the kind my dad served on in Vietnam. You gave me plenty to go on though...thanks guys!
