So, I ask:
What is the function of this big nose??
It seems (for me...) to be made of canvas...
Rack?
Higher capacity radiator??
Disguise??
Does anyone have pictures, draws or informations about this "big nose"??
Waiting for...and TIA !!!!

Hi Marcus,
The purpose of the 'nose' was to disguise the vehicle so that it looked like an ordinary lorry from the air and not a Command Vehicle.

SFAIK, this was a thin metal cover, not canvas, based on seeing photos of restored example, but can't remember where, I don't think it was common though.

Funny what you find when you look for summat else!
Tankette Vol11 No1, (MAFVA Mag)
page2 quotes:" ... The Artificial Front (nose) had rigid sides with a soft top and front face. "
A good plan was published in August 1970 Airfix Magazine, & mention is made of a Book by B T White, "Tanks and Other Armoured Fighting Vehicles 1942 - 45", Blandford Press, which features the ACV.
As a sideline, British Military Transport in WW2 by Ryton Publications (ISBN 1 898135 02 9) Page 3 photo caption reads: The Guy Lizard Armoured Command Vehicle....
which for our purposes does have a distinctive nose, but only 21 built!
