Hi fiolks,

Again some new items coming along in March. It seem we are in for a bit of a feast in terms of early British Artillery. Already announced in February was the 4.5 inch Howitzer and Limber:

35.1217 4.5 inch Howitzer & limber
Full resin kit with PE and brass turned ammo.
Master by George Moore
Price: 59.50 euros

A review of same cane be found here:

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/6090

Released this month are the figures that made the news as a WIP some time ago, 6 figuers for the 25pdr crew. The figuers are available as separates which is very good news as follows:

35.5618 Gun layer
Master by G. Detroeye
Painting by Ch. Nachtergael
Price: 12.50 euros

35.5619 Gun Sergeant
Master by G. Detroeye
Painting by Ch. Nachtergael
Price: 12.50 euros

35.5621Gun loader n°1
Master by G. Detroeye
Painting by Ch. Nachtergael
Price: 12.50 euros

35.5622Gun loader n°2
Master by G. Detroeye
Painting by Ch. Nachtergael
Price: 12.50 euros

35.5620 Gun “Rammer”
Master by G. Detroeye
Painting by Ch. Nachtergael
Price: 12.50 euros

Last but n ot least is an RA Officer:

35.5616 Officer in great coat
(optional hands: with cup, with binoculars)
Master by G. Detroeye
Painting by Ch. Nachtergael
Price: 12.50 euros

These should offer althernative possibilities as well as providing the first NWE 25pdr gun crew I know of.

Also just to keep things interesting and previously announced another new artillery piece was announced some time ago the 18/25pdr which is nearing copmpletion and production.

The guns were Mastered by George Moore and it would appear that a 6 inch Howitzer is a possibility too so if you like artillery or something new then there would appear to be lots of goo thing happening to grab your interest.

Al

Hi Darren,

Could be I haven't t seen the figure, but as he's twisting round perhaps not, try that position yourself, pretty close I'd say.

Looking forward to the 18 pdr on 25pdr carriage.

Now that's a new one on me! I know about the Pheasant (17 pounder on 25 pounder carriage) and I know the several 18/25 pounders which were 18 pounders on 18 pounder carriages (various), with new or modified barrels so they could fire 25 pounder shells, but an 18 pounder on a 25 pounder carriage? Anyone got a pic?

No, because there was no such thing. As you say, the 18/25 pounder was an 18 pdr barrel sleeve with a 25 pdr barrel & breech and put on a 18 pdr chassis.

That's what the master is, a standard 18/25 pdr, or, to be precise, Ordnance, Quick Firing 25 pounder Mark I on Carriage 18-pr Mark IV.
