Hiya Folks!
Jeremy's "What if" campaign announcement made me sooooo excited that I can't wait untill the starting date. I've had a quick check on my stash and I've got my Sd.kfz. 10 with Eduard PE set and some Archer dry transfers (bought years ago). I already had some ideas so I made a few sketches to visualize them.
The kit...
... and the winner idea.
And here we goooooo....
Let's have some fun.
Thanks for watching
Andy

Hello Guys!
Not much progress yet. I didn't have too high expectations on this kit so I am not disappointed at all. The details not too bad but there are gaps everywhere. It's going to be fun to fill all of them . I started building the driver's compartment. The Eduard set is nice but basically it's been designed to use with the Italeri kit so there are some size problems. Never mind. I do it anyway.
That's for now.
Thanks for watching.

Hi Andy
Nice clean detail set and great looking dials to add on. looking forward to catching up with your scratchbuilding at the club. That APC looks good as a WIF !!

Evening Fellas!
A small update on my progress. I realized how fun it is to build what if things because there are no rules at all. All about fantasy, craftsmanship and plenty of styrene sheets . I started the bonnet. I shaped some 0,5mm plasticards to make the add on armor and used plastic rod "slices" to make the rivets. Same with the windscreen. I also did some progress in the driver's compartment. I filled the gaps and added some extra details using the Eduard PE set.
Thanks for watching, more just coming.

Very interesting concept! Kind of looks like the V2 command half track's little step brother! The fault with the PE may be just bad fit, as the Revell kit is the Italeri re-pop. I have two of them, and am looking forward to the smell of putty, ha ha. Good luck with your build, it looks like fun! I was considering turning my ancient first gen Tamiya Tiger into some sort of mecha warrior....

Julian!
I realized that the main problem was the fitting of the plastic parts and not the PE set. About the Tiger mech conversion: I know a guy who actually built one. If I find the pictures I will link them.
Matt!
First I will varnish the instrument panels then I mask them with bluetack and I will paint the whole dashboard.
