Hey guys,
I have sort of a problem with a Tamya Tiger I kit, I aquired the kit second hand with some other armor kits. When I got to this kit I found out that the top of the hull is missing, everything else seems to be there, turret and all. So I have searched for a conversion kit or anything for it and have come up with nothing. I have seen the sturmtiger conversion but it is for 1/25 scale, so that does me no good. I was wondering if I could build an engineering vehicle, like a bergtiger, or a gun tractor, or even some sort of "homebuilt" selfpropelled gun. Any help you guys could give me would be great. Wanting to do something with the kit besides scrap it.
Thanks

Which Tiger I kit do you have? I actually have some spare hull tops lying around...

any chance of a pic of what you've got in the box Jonathan, it might help us help you out with ideas for conversions or parts if we can see what you've got to work with, and what you may need mate. Ant

ah... you might have a problem there Jon, that's Tamiya's original Tiger 1 from the 70's a very inaccurate kit, oversized muzzlebreak on the main gun, oversimplified details and i'm not sure a upper hull from any of the modern tooled tiger 1's will fit, if you're after building a tiger 1 i'd probably suggest try getting one of tamiya's later tooling's and use that tiger as a test bed for techniques, the lower hull in particular could be used to practice zimmerit application rather than fowling up on a new kit just my thoughts mate.
