I recently visited the National Farm Toy Museum in Dyersville, Iowa and in the exhibit for International Harvester/ Farmall a 1/50 MaxxPro MRAP diecast model was included. I can't find any companies that made this, but it was obviously a high quality diecast such as Spec Cast or First Gear and not a custom.

Does anyone know where I can find this diecast International MaxxPro MRAP? Cost is not a factor.

Rob,
First, I see it's your first post, so welcome to the site!
Second, I searched the internet and only found the GAMLA Model Makers make any reference to it: GamlaMM
They make customs for trade-shows and that. Maybe International had it made earlier and brought it along to the farm toy show.
I agree that it sure would be cool to see them made for the public!
Sorry I couldn't help, but I didn't want to see this post just fall flat.

Their scale model vehicles, as listed in in their portfolio, aren't 1/50 (maybe just a typo?) but range from 1/4 to 1/6 scale apparently. They look incredible, but I doubt very few people could afford such quality at that size if they were to make them for retail.

It's actually 1/5 scale.. and looks incredible. I don't think something like this would be very affordable!

I didn't mean to say that Rob saw a 1/5 scale model and mis-identified it. Just that the 1/50 diecast that he saw may have been a one-time piece that International paid someone to make for them, for tradeshows or something.
And as an aside, to say that Gamla sure makes some cool stuff!
thanks,
Sean.

I did find the GAMLA model made for military shows, but this was definitely 1:50, which is the same scale as Corgi and other diecast model makers that aren't perfectly O scale. Being an O scale modeler and Corgi collector, I can definitely identify it as 1:50 or 1:48. I know that it was either a regular MaxxPro or a MaxxPro Dash, but not the extended version. I checked with the local hobby shops and the diecast dealer in Des Moines an no one knows anything, so it's quite likely of being made for International in a limited number for employees, shows, and museums. I sure wish that I could find out more info, but the National Farm Toy Museum has yet to respond.

I've definitely come across a lot of kitbashing, but I'm way too lazy to do that. I would rather earn money at my quasi job to go towards Herpa (formerly Roco) Minitanks and Trident tanks and paint for the current campaign. I've never done a diorama, so that's getting all my focus currently.
