Hi,
a) I have the vintage Italeri Elefant kit, how bad is it?
b) I always wonder what is the difference between the Elefant and Ferdinand? Just he MG difference and the commission by Hitler right?
c) Where can I buy 1/35 Ferdinand kit on-line? The kit seems out of production already.
Cheers

Another option you could consider (if you're not on a budget ) would be buying Accurate Armour's Ferdinand conversion set designed for Italeri's Elefant. The conversion includes engine deck, new superstructure, gun, opening hatches and pistol ports. Also included is woven brass cable, metal tools and early style resin track

Kiong,
Sprue Brothers currently happens to have a Ferinand kit in stock here. It's a Dragon Premium kit. You'll have to check out how much it will be for shipping to your location?
The Ferdinand was later upgraded and renamed Elefant.
Hope this helps,
-Eddy

I have both Italeri and DML Ferdinands & Elefant. The DML kits are light years ahead of the Italeri, but then there was a lot of years between the two. It will depend on how accurate you want your model to be.
The Elefant was a name change only! The Ferdinands did receive an upgrade just before the name was changed. That upgrade included bow MG, Zimmerit coating, a new commander's hatch with view blocks a new engine cover, relocated tool box. That is about all the major upgrades, that I remember.
Shoot me an email, I might have some parts you could use to retro fit your kit!
