Nice vehicle!
Reminds me that i hunted down a dozen 1/32 oldtimers a few years back meant to be put on my Dio, but unfortunately i do not have the place for it anymore.
Need to find an alternative, it would be a pity to not build them.

really really nice updating on your kit, are these hard to find?
Posted: Tuesday, March 22, 2011 - 04:56 AM UTC
Ah, this is cool Rafal. Looks like a very simplified kit but you seem to have done it justice. Please tell me you are going to keep that fetching yellow color from the box art?!

That's funny. Last year I built the same kit from the original box from the 60's and added a ladder rack for a Polish dio. Nice to see another.

Hey Rafal, looks like a shot from one of the history channels programs, boot legger and rum runners. Dark night at the piers with a dense fog rolling in.

This wouldn't happen to be inspired by 'Boardwalk Empire'?
In any case, I like the way you've set the scene- the height and structure will certainly 'frame' it nicely.

Hi Rafal!
Impressive job with that pier! And the groundwork is excellent. The stroller gives it a good touch of realism.
I really look forward to a new update on your progress.
Cheers, mate!

Now to accurately recreate the time period, we need a body with the feet/legs encased in concrete on the bottom...!

This looks awesome, the groundwork under the boardwalk is really authentic looking. Great inspiration!

Paint it black Rafal! Cars back then did not come in alot of color choices - most were black.....
I noticed abunch of these kits on sale at one of our big box stores recently- Ollie's ... Your work is top notch(as usual). I really like the wooden stairs and "pier" it looks great!

Rafal, I think you've really captured the salt-water battered look of the boardwalk very well. Are you going to keep it as is with the tide out or are you planning to add water?

I agree with the other guys, your dio has been coming out incredibly well!
I like a lot that blue broken toy on the depht. In my opinion it adds color to the scene and aids to feel the diorama atmosphere
I hope to see soon your progresses
Cheers
