I'm having trouble finding US soldiers without gear, either those in service uniforms or in field gear without the webbing. Does anyone know of anything, perferably in plastic? Thanks.

Hi Tom,

if you specify the period you look for would be helpful.

Sorry was thinking of WW2, but soldiers from other eras would also be suitable for future reference.

Trumpeter`s Modern Supply Figures wear BDU/DCU Uniforms with T-shirts.
Except for the "Easter Island Statues" heads, a very useful set.

Though it probably won't serve my current needs I ordered a set anyway. Thanks. Also, I hopefully can use Hornet heads in their place.

There's also the "Famous Generals" set. I bought one, and though the set is an older one it still looks good.

If all else fails try a new ,sharp hobby knife , some putty and extra fine sand paper. Maybe a small file and emory boards. Carefully cut away the webbing and fill it in. Just my two cents worth. I intend to one day do a dio on my dads old medical unit. I have a gazillion pictures for reference and no one is wearing gear.......... ..............Al

MasterBox has a few - I know of two although I don't recall the kit numbers. One is army, 1945, one officer and one NCO on a double date; the other is navy with two sailors and two WAVES.

I hope that helps!

I shamelessly stole this from another thread:

Custom Dioramic used to make some as well, but Squadron seems to have ceased production. IIRC this figure was CD, unarmed except for a holstered 45.

MiniArt makes a couple of sets: US Jeep crew set and the MP set (with motorcycles). Seated and standing figures mostly in D-Day style uniform. All equipment ie; side arms, canteens, etc. are add-on. And MiniArt make some of the best figures in plastic.
