Hey all -
Last I checked there were about 25 of us registered for the "Under the Sun" campaign. What does everybody plan on building for that? I'm kinda up in the air -
I have the Alan Bison II, Eduard etch, and Jordi barrel.... that looks like it would be fun...... I think I'm going to go with that.....but who knows.... #:-)
Later-
Jeff

For this campaign, I'll be building a valentine Mk5.
It will be in the colours of the french troops that rallied to the allied side and faught in Tunisia in 1943 !
The model is from the brand "ironside" : it's the "maquette" hull with a resin turret, new hatches...

Hi Jeff
I haven't made a final choice, but I'm thinking of doing an AMT Douglas A-20 and/or maybe a Hasegawa Macchi 202. :-)
All the best

Hi Jeff :-)
Maybe I should freak everybody out and build my first armour model in about 20 years...

Tell you what...... let me know if you ever decide to give it a go on a tank, and I'll whip up some sort of plane. I kinda like the looks of the FW190 - any good kits of this plane out there?

Hi Jeff
In 1/48 scale Tamiya's Fw190s are probably the easiest to build - with good detail and really nice parts fit. :-) It's what I'd recommend, if you haven't built an aircraft before...
Some folks say the ex-Trimaster/Dragon kits are (slightly) more accurate, but they are definitely more of a challenge to build. Their Fw190A has reappeared as Revell-Monogram, who also market the Fw190D (along with Italeri). One good thing about these re-releases is that they're cheaper than Tamiya. :-)
If you want really cheap (but still quite accurate), try the old Arii/Otaki/Matchbox/Airfix Fw190A. As you can tell, this kit has really done the rounds!
Hope this helps
