And here's my BEAUTIFUL ( my precious... ) Acht-Acht....
Just finished construction, had to share with all brass and aluminium gleaming...
Sorry for the background, didn't come out quite as planned, but still...

All four builds you posed are impressive. The background for this one makes picking out the details on the gun a little difficult, but it still looks outstanding.

Thanks Russ!
Unfortunately I reviewed the pics on screen after I'd already primed the kit.... too late...

Lovely gun, but I would't want to find myself at its business end Will you display it in anti-aircraft or anti-tank position?

Finally finished! What a BEAUTY of a kit this is! I spent a lot of time deciding on the camo scheme and went thru lots of reference both locally and online. It seems that these guns were painted in wildly diverse schemes and since I wanted to try a geometric design badly since my Kugelblitz fiasco, I went this way...

I really love the 88, great camo.
I think that you posted the image a few times accidently though

Something wrong with my connection so I managed to post the same pics 55 times or something.... Anyway, I deleted them and here is the rest.

Hi, Trifon, nice work. Can you reference the unusual hard-edged camo? Thanks.

Hey Bill, thanks for looking in!
My decision to display this camo was INSPIRED by different influences.
1) These color profiles from the Tornado book Military Machines 059 - The German 88mm Gun
2) David Parker's work on the Flak 41
3) and most importantly the many documented German vehicles painted in sharp diagonal hard-edged schemes from late winter - spring 1945. Panthers, trucks, halftrucks even a surviving Pz38t comes to mind.
Keyword in the above: "INSPIRED".
Cheers
