Ola Rob! Nice wear and tear on the fenders. Tracks have just the right amount of wear and tear and slack to make it look like it's been on the move for awhile. Overall great job...can't wait to see it on the base we discussed in chat.

God, Ola, this is a real well done T34, the weathering is just about right, subtle yet effective, the fenders are real nicely done. The wear on the armor looked convincing, and spill/rust on the fuel tank is awesome.

Good work.

Faust,
That T-34 looks really nice, seeing your T-34 and Steves (WWH) ISU-122 makes me wanna build something Russian.

Thanks for the compliments and to teel you that the figures were finished quite a couple of weeks ago. I only didn`t have time to shoot pics of it. I think myself that the pics in this topic are not that good too. I`ll shoot new pics of the whole project with figs again this week.

Hey Rob!

Great construction and great painting job.
The inconsistent look on the T-34 is the most realistic way to go.
Awesome work,

Andrew

Faust
That is one nice looking Beast.

The thing that jumps out at me is the dark wash over it. That is nicely done. Very realistic as far as what I've seen.
Nice build images too.

Thanks again for the replies.

Scott
Actually it`s a mix of several washes.. Actually a big amount of washes. I always call it some sort of filtering but actually a better name would be Striping. With several variants of the base green (lighter and darker) I make stripes on the tank. Always in a logical direction vertical lines as that is the direction rain and such will flow (on the real vehicle that is) When added a couple of stripes on an area I take a dry brush and I stroke all the lines into the same direction as I made them and I stroke them till they are nearly dry. When you do this in several tones you`ll see that the colors start to overlap each other giving this inconsistent look Oberst mentioned. Another nice thing is this is a good way of making rainstreaks and if a stripe is too light/obvious or whatever could be wrong with it you simply go over it with another filtering to tone it down. I also do some washes/filters/stripes with other colors like greys and dessert yellow. The first to create darker areas the second for dusting the vehicle.

Again thanks for the replies
