I know the difference between the M1074 and M1075 is the crane (MHC) setup. Are pictures available showing each? How big of a set up is the crane and does it store away conveniently ala HEMTT. OK, bottom line. What does the crane look like and where is it mounted and how is it stored?

Rob; are the pictures in your motor pool of a 1074 or 1075? And are there plans to up-grade HEMTT痴 to the central Tire Inflation System?

Being an Oshkosh (by gosh), where is a good source for specs and stuff other than Oshkosh? PAO offices? Do the Guard and Reserve have them too?

Thanks,

Dave

I don't know if it is an M1074 or M1075. I can take more pictures tomorrow, but I am going to my parents this weekend and will not be able to post them until Sunday, but more likely Monday. I also don't know if the Guard or Reserve have them, although I would venture a guess that since all combat units were turned over to the Guard, that the Reserves would not own any. As far as up-grades, I do know that if a piece of equipment is required an up-grade, a factory rep comes by and does the MWO. I have had FMC reps up-grade the M2A2 as well as the FMTV reps do MWO for the new 5 ton/Deuces.

Dave,

There is an entire platoon of PLS in my motorpool, 16 of 'em. They belong to DET 1, 212th TC Company, USAR. I believe they have both versions. I will get the digitial camera tommorrow (17 May) and get pictures of the crane. I recall that it is very similar to HEMMT crane.

Tripod sez that site isn稚 there.

Actually what I was thinking of doing is a 1/35 THAAD launcher or maybe a THAAD launch site diorama.

For the diorama, was thinking of trying it with HO (1/97) since ROCO and Trident have most everything for the basics. Then the prices!!!! Guess I知 not acclimated to the model RR prices yet (flat car with painted ROCO tank $169.00), I'm still getting over resin and AM prices. Does ROCO have a generic equivalent?

Thanks for the help and in put,

Dave
