Hi from Colorado! '[:::]'
I've noticed that there weren't too many LAV-25 examples, so here's my Trumpeter 1/35 LAV-25 SLEP. I used the PE SLEP exhaust from Eduard and scratch built the antennae.
The kit came with Army decals, and I wanted to do a USMC vehicle, so I used a mix of the kit decals and whatever I had in my spares stash.
I used MM and Tamiya paints and clear coats and weathering was done with Promodeller "Dark Dirt" and the Tamiya Weathering Master A, B, & D sets.
I also tried something a little different than usual when it comes to weathering...I used liberal amounts of the Promodeller wash on the whole vehicle and then airbrushed the model with water to try to simulate a sort of rain-dried mud effect and I'm pretty happy with the results.
Overall a great kit to build. I really liked that the kit came with MRE, water, and pop boxes!
