Has anyone built this conversion yet? If so what is it like?
My concern is the donor kit required of the Hobby Boss 2A5DK.
Thank you.

Good Morning Gary,
I'm sorry but I don't know a thing about the conversion kit. But if you are looking for a Hobby Boss 2A5DK kit Squadron has one on sale for $20 US in their April sale catalog. Tom

I have the conversion....and I am working on a review. It is very well cast.
What are your concerns about the Hobby Boss kit? You can add details to it..such as new tracks.....and I would recommend further details the Hoby Boss kit with using such a detailed resin conversion.
Take a look at this build as well...

It is good to hear there is a review coming. Was it easy to order from them?
Hobby Boss seems to get details wrong within there Leopard line, like on the 2A6M Cdn and the soft details as well don't help.
It is a shame to place a great casting on to a base that could detrack from it.
I'll get the 2A5DK and see how I can order the 2A7+ upgrade.
Thank you.

My concern is the donor kit required of the Hobby Boss 2A5DK.
The actual components that make up the frontal armour on the hull are pretty good in the Hobby Boss kit.
There have been a few guys that have combined the Hobby Boss kit with the Tamiya Leopard 2A5 to make a hybrid project....you could always do that.
The conversion will enhance the look of the kit.....but it won't solve all the issues.

I was thinking of doing this as well. I have 2 of the HB Leo2A5DK coming and I'll have a look. I have Tamyia Leo2A6 here I was thinking of using to combine with.

The 2A7+ has the additional front hull armour and the flat upper hull armour....the Canadian Leopard 2A6M CAN and 2A4M CAN only have the flat upper hull armour.
The turret side armour on the 2A7+ and the 2A4M does look the same.

Thank you. I placed an order last night for one.
It does have a very similar appearance to the Leo2A4M CDN.
I wouldn't be surprised if some slat armour doesn't end up on it to fill in the spaces around the back.

That is nice. What is the slat armor made of in the conversion?

Both the slat sections and the support arms are resin....if I get a spare second I will finish and submit my reviews of the 2A4M CAN and the 2A7+ ASAP.

I have recieved my Leo 2A7+ and I must say the resin is nicely cast with great details. I may have to order a second on to make another. I like the inclusion of the PE smakoe grenade covers as well.
Ity arrived faster from Germany than my items from the US ordered on the same day. I'm just waiting for my Hobbyboss kit to put it on.
