What do you think about figures that are mainly airbrushed? I am finding that I am able to do shadowing and highlighting with my airbrush and achieve a look that is appealing to me. Ofcourse I only do this on larger areas such as cloaks, shields, boots, skin on 90mm and larger figures. Now, I am troubled though that these might not be appealing alongside other traditionally painted figures because the shadowing/highlighting is not what I consider to be harsh, I think that they look much more natural without over exaggerated tones.
Anyway, what do you guys think?

In real life most shadows and highlights are soft anyway so your way seems to give a more 'natural' appearance. But in the end it all comes down to what you think. If you like it, keep at it and the world can take a flying leap.
