Can I ask for some pointers on drybrushing with oils? I'm just about at the stage where I'll be putting the acrylic flat coat over my overall oils wash (which has now dried for three days), and the next steps include the oil drybrush.
Is there a link somewhere as to technique in brush handling, best shade to use (base coat? lightened base coat? Something else? etc)?
Thanks in advance....

first off, I think there's an article somewhere here, so try the search option.
now, I'll tell you what I do:
If you want to get a worn out kinda look, you work from shade to shade, starting with the base color's shade, and going lighter.
if you just want a metallic effect on guns (example) use some silver / chrome.
I do dry-brushing as follows:
for a metallic effect, I take a flat brush, dip it in paint (straight from the bottle, and just the tip of the brush), then do some brushing on toilet paper until the brush is almost out of paint (try it once or twice, you'll get the hang of it) and then i lightly brush the object.
If you want to lighten stuff up, take a lighter shade (mind you don't make big jumps in shade) do the above, but this time thin the paint down (I use 60:40 or 70:30 mix ratio). hope this helps you.
btw: here's a nice article I found (not the one mentioned above) http://www.scalemodelguide.com/guide/painting/Drybrushing-1/
