I just wanted to report that Windex is great to use when you need to strip acrylic paint from your model.
I recently botched the paint job on a Sdkfz. 222 and submerged all the parts in a bucket filled with Windex for about 30 - 45 minutes and the paint was dissolved off the model. A couple areas still had a paint haze and needed a soft scrub with an old toothbrush, but it came off easily. It also rinses easily with water.
I never tried oven cleaner or brake fluid, but Windex seems less toxic. I also don't know if it would work for enamels or oils, as I had so far only put acrylic on the model.
Hope this can help somebody out.
Happy Modelling, -zon
