Hi all,
I've disassembled the two Iwata airbrushes I have to give them a good cleaning but was wondering if I can use Medea Super Lube on the nozzle thread.
When I unscrewed the nozzles they both had a distinct brown color paste around the threads. I don't know what this may have been but I'm assuming is some sort of lubricant. Being that I completely removed these brown pasty things from the nozzle threads (I thought it was paint initially), I was wondering if I should/need to use the Medea Super Lube on this area or whether I could just leave it as is and screw the nozzle back on 'dry'.
Any ideas/feedback will be appreciated.

The brown substance is old fashion bee's wax and it's used as a sealant for the threads.
You can look for a block of bee's wax at an arts and crafts store, or pick up a small container from Badger. (Which is a life time supply.) Badger nozzles actually unscrew from their heads so all you need to do is replace their nozzles when they split, which is a hell of a lot cheaper that replacing the entire head.
